Poster Title: The State College School District's Biodiesel Project - "An Approach to Sustainable Energy - Fuel & Feed"

Poster Abstract: The State College Agricultural Science Program and Science Department in collaboration with The Pennsylvania State University's College of Agricultural Sciences is continuing a project that processes used french fry oil into biodiesel. The educational lessons and activities target high school students as they develop technical and hands-on skills in biodiesel processing. A pilot study is being developed to investigate the use of distilled glycerin as an energy feed source for whitetail deer. The pilot study (with approval) will take place at the PSU Deer pens starting this fall.
